Mickey Carlson is a paperboy who works at the New York Ledger. As Douglas Bishop was found dead in the family home of the Dyson family, Beckett believed that he was killed by an apartment squatter. When Castle and Beckett ask Carlson, he admits to being a squatter and tells them that he was staying in the apartment of the Maitlands, before moving to the Dysons' place, but there he found a gun and syringes. He decided, therefore, to disappear, but at that moment three men appeared, including Douglas Bishop and a man with a crescent-shaped scar on his face.
