The Mal Arms Decksweeper was a custom flechette launcher made by the mechanic and weaponsmith Fer'ren Mal. The Decksweeper was smaller and easier to handle than the Golan Arms FC-1 flechette launcher, and had the stopping power of a heavy blaster pistol. It was loaded with flechette-filled canister which, upon barrel exit, exploded, releasing dozens of flechette darts in a 8 meter long, 45 degrees wide cone, capable of piercing blast vests and even stormtrooper armor.
