Augustia was a nation in the Second Age. It was ruled by King Finwald, and its capital was Palanthas. Where Manster was a kingdom of businessmen, Augustia was one of noblemen. Augustians were probably the most arrogant humans in the world, although they were also one of the wealthiest and they lived in the finest houses. Palanthas was the largest and finest city in the world. King Finwald was a quiet, timid man, who was shocked by the prospect of war, mainly because he thought it somehow might damage his beautiful kingdom. Arawn Losstarot conquered Augustia during the Arawn Losstarot War, forcing Finwald into exile and beginning a persecution of elves.
