When Peter is given some unexpected news he tries to keep it from Ian. Shirley hits rock bottom, and receives support from an unlikely Walford resident. Shirley drowns her sorrows over her run-in with Dean. Unable to watch Shirley drink herself into oblivion, Denise has a confrontation with Shirley in the Minute Mart, taking her back to the Beale's. When Denise tries to remind her of the good times she had with her children, Shirley sets off to retrieve some keepsakes from the Butchers', but Bianca won't let her into the house.
