Jake Ullin would begin to train hounds almost since he could walk, his family having many animals in the hills of Kentucky. He wouldn't sell his first one until he was seventeen however, and that was for another jug of shine. It would be another twenty four years until he started to sell dogs commercially, this time for food and supplies.
