"Adira Truth", the primary alias of the second incarnation of a female Time Lord whose origins remain unknown due to her inability to remember whom she has been before, was a companion of the Doctor, notably the Eleventh and possibly a love interest. She was a Time Lord, who presumably escaped Gallifrey before the war and was given to human parents, the Truths. She was raised to have a bottomless desire for books and a genuine curiosity for things she didn't understand, with each of her parents grooming her to be an intelligent member of society. She had frequent dreams of the Doctor and the Tardis as a child, which persisted into adulthood.
