This is a list of teams who are considered to have a historic rivalry with the Toronto Maple Leafs. In general, to be considered a rival to the Maple Leafs, a team must have a storied past with the Maple Leafs. This could include a history of numerous playoff meetings, or meetings that have led to historic or infamous on-ice incidents. Teams that are geographically close to Toronto, or share a common bond with the city of Toronto, are also considered.
