The Victorian Airborne Forces were a fast response commando unit of the Victorian Independent Army. Formed in 2539 in response to a growing number of pro-UNSC incursions onto the Independent State's territory, the Airborne Forces were culled from commandos who had taken part in operations on Victoria during the years prior to the formation of the Independent State. As a result, after a brief training period of seven months, the unit began combat missions in 2540. The members of the unit soon became infamous among pro-UNSC partisans for the speed of their attacks, leaving little time to react before they had done their damage and were gone.
