Lindsay Carlisle Shay is the Deputy Parks Director of the Parks & Recreation Department of Eagleton, Indiana. She and Leslie were friends and colleagues at Pawnee's Parks and Recreation Department back when Lindsay was 35 pounds heavier and hadn't had a nose job. Leslie turned down a job with Eagleton's Parks and Recreation Department, but Lindsay went behind her back and accepted the job, despite a pact the two of them had made. She makes her disgust for Pawnee well-known, calling it "a dirty little nightmare from which you will never wake up". However, by the time the Pawnee-Eagleton merger occurred in Season 6, she was no longer employed by the Eagleton Parks and Rec department.
