An Extraordinary Session or Grand Convocation was a special meeting of the Galactic Senate called by the Supreme Chancellor, in which every senator was under the obligation to attend. Palpatine called an Extraordinary Session to issue his Declaration of a New Order. This Extraordinary Session was held in the Grand Convocation Chamber.
