Pokémon Stadium is a video game for the Nintendo 64 released in 1999. This game was developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. While it is the first game in the series for most people, it is in fact the second game in the series, and is the sequel to a Japan-only game entitled Pocket Monsters Stadium. Because of this, Pokémon Stadium is known as Pocket Monsters Stadium 2 in Japan.
