Mystique joined the X-Men with the others unaware of what she was up to. Shadowcat liked her until she kissed Iceman (Shadowcat's Boyfriend) causing them to start a relationship which made Shadowcat extremely jealous until she learned that this was all a part of Raven's plan to release Magneto from prison (In order to form the Brotherhood of Mutants).
