Mermista knew that a valuable Kyber Water Crystal was hidden in the Beastmonster's lake and when She-Ra needed once such gem to power Man-At-Arms's Transport Beam, She-Ra and Swift Wind distracted the mighty Beastmonster while Mermista dove to find the crystal. The Beastmonster ended up stuck between pieces of old ruins.
