Story in The King In Yellow by Robert W. Chambers. Set in the titular street. Rev. Joel Byram and his friend Hastings are walking down the street in search of accommodation for Hastings. Byram is unhappy, seeing signs of a Jesuit presence. They find a lodging place in the house of Madame Marotte. Later, Hastings is nearly arrested over a loose dog that proves to belong to his friend Foxhall Clifford. Also features the characters Mr Bladen, Susie Byng, Elliott, Laffatt and Bowles. Other than general artistic themes, it appears to have nothing to do with the Yellow Mythos. A statue of Cupid features.
