Red Pikmin are the first Pikmin to appear in the game Pikmin: New World. They look exactly the same as normal red pikmin that appear in other pikmin games except they slightly differ in their abilities. They are also far more useful in this game than in the others. They are back to being the only type of pikmin, besides bulbmin or purples, that are able to destroy fire geysers or other fire based hazards. Also, their attack power is now at least three quarters as much as purple pikmin and they are a lot faster. They can also break down pillar obstacles, an ability unique to them. They should no longer be used as fodder for candypop buds as both of their abilities are far more commonly used both inside dungeons and out. These Pikmin also appear to be a different species than the original re
