The Mid Rim was a galactic region located between the Expansion Region and the Outer Rim Territories. The region was first explored by the Galactic Republic following the end of the Alsakan Crisis in 12,999 BBY, and it served as the primary location of the Hutt War that began in 12,979 BBY between the Republic and the Hutt Empire of the Outer Rim. Ando Prime, the headquarters of the Dark Jedi of the Bogan during the Hutt War, was located in the Mid Rim.
