The UNSC Battlegroup Voyager was the first UNSC Battlegroup since the end of the Human-Covenant War that was created for exploration instead of battle. However, the battlegroup was made up of cruisers and frigates that were designed and outfitted for battle. Following the Battle of Requiem IV, the Battlegroup lost a third of it's manpower and was outfitted with 2 new Nimbes-class cruisers.
