First introduced in 98 BBY, the ULD-series droids were general purpose labor droids common in the Confederacy. The series had reached its seventh incarnation (ULD-7) by 18 ABY. Unlike most labor droids, ULDs were rather intelligent for their type, and could understand complex orders.
