Element is a Canadian hard rock band formed by Jacob Scott and Lee Jeakins in November of 2007. A shared interest in Deep Purple led to a blending of musical interests and the desire to create a band. After a series of practices and jam sessions, the band was completed with the addition of keyboardist Rachel Stein. Although Element's style is best attributed to hard rock, several additional genres influence the band, including progressive and thrash metal, classic rock, and folk.
