Gamut Vifi was a lieutenant in the Galactic Empire that became Aurelius Tempest's protege. After Tempest attempted to kill himself on Bastion, Vifi recovered the remains of Tempest and rushed him to a surgeon that transformed him into a cyborg. During the time that Tempest left Bastion, Vifi managed local security protocols for the capital. When Tempest returned four years later, Vifi agreed to accompany Tempest on his ship. Little did he realize that Tempest was killing many Yoogish that he came across. When they came across a freighter with innocent Yoogish families, Vifi backed out of a decision to destroy the freighter. A fight ensued between Vifi and the General, leading to the damage of the cockpit controls. Just as Tempest attempted to escape, the ship spiraled into the freighter ki
