He is six and a half feet tall, lean yet muscular. He appears to be in his mid to late twenties, but with many residents of the Soul Society he is actually much older, more than a century. He has square, ordinary features, and dark hair with a slight bluish tint to it combed back. He wears an ordinary shinigami uniform with shorter sleeves, his badge on his left arm, a sash tied around his waist and carries his Zanpakuto on his right side. He has faint tattoo like markings on the left side of his neck extending to the upper part of his left arm, which he received while imprisoned at the Nest of Maggots.
