The American Wallaby is a native American marsupial that feeds on fruit, grass, leaves, shrubs, and carrion. Despite its name, it is not an Australian wallaby, but a similar marsupial with a similar niche. It lives in the western parts of the U.S, including California. and is actually more closely related to the Virginia opossum.
