The Galactic Purge is the name given to the Galactic Alliance's battle against Force Users. In 46 ABY the Senate passed a bill outlawing all Force Users in the Galactic Alliance. The Chief of State stretched this bill to include Force Users that fell outside the Galactic Alliance boundaries, starting another Civil War.
