The user places his or her hand on a living being, constraining its movements entirely. However, in order to maintain the seal, the user can't remove their hand from the victim while continuously feeding the seal chakra. Once the hand is removed or the chakra flow stops, the seal will usually only last for a couple of seconds on its own.
