"Goebbels Orders Book Burning" was an English-print article from 1938 which reported on a week-long series of bonfires in Germany ordered by Joseph Goebbels to destroy books considered by the Nazis as "un-German". The piece referenced works by Ernest Hemingway and Bertolt Brecht as among the blacklisted writers, and mentioned that the move made way for titles by leading Nazi figures, such as Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf, to fill the bookshelf space.
