Neworlders were members of a congregation of human agronomists in the early 23rd century who rejected most technologies created or refined after the 20th century. They put great value on nature and that which they deemed natural, to the point where their given names were related to agriculture. A community of Neworlders, led by Cotton Jonday, settled on the colony world Elysium in the 2220s. Within a decade, Neworlders dominated the Elysium Council, the colony's ruling body.
