Dargon Nadrix was a scout for the Galactic Republic, the succeeding Galactic Empire, and then the New Republic. A northern Mustafarian native, he was born in 40 BBY, and joined the Republic Exploration Corps in 22 BBY, at the outbreak of the Clone Wars. Under the Republic, he received his training and early experience, and had taken part in the discovery of several systems, planets, and previously unknown species. After the New Order was established in 19 BBY, with Supreme Chancellor Palpatine declaring himself Galactic Emperor, Nadrix continued to serve, in the newly formed Imperial Survey Corps.
