The cipher disk is an object used to decode Enochian script, and can only be utilized in conjunction with Francis Drake's ring. Nathan Drake suggested that it was created for Francis by John Dee. When Nathan Drake used the cipher disk, he decoded the phrase "long hidden". When the letters were rearranged, it sayed "golden hind", which was the name of Francis Drake's ship.
