Commander Tracy Dane was a female Human Starfleet officer who served as first officer aboard the USS Enterprise-B in 2294. Dane was born in 2261 and came from a long-line of military officers from those who served in the Union armies during the American Civil War right the way into Starfleet. As a result of her upbringing, she believed that Starfleet was a strict military organization and demanded military perfection from the crew of the Enterprise.
