The tenth Pink Taishō ceremony, covering the year 1997, was held at the Kameari Meigaza (亀有名画座 Kameari Meigaza) theater on May 31, 1998. The night's program included a screening of six of the "Ten Best" films of the year: Hakui inran nikki: Nureta mama nido, sando (Seventh Place); Guts of a Mature Woman: Crimson Cleft (Third Place); I Thought About You (First Place); Sisters Donburi: No Pulling Out (Second Place); Danchi-zuma: hakuchū no furin (Fifth Place); and Bijin hisho: Pansuto wo hagu (Fourth Place).
