The Atlantean Empire , sometimes referred to as the Eastern Iberian Empire or the Middle Diadochian Empire (as a result of its modern successor Diadochia), was the continuation of the Iberian Empire in Eastern Diadochia. It survived the fragmentation and fall of the Western Iberian Empire in 5th century AD and survived for a thousand years, until its breakup in 1367. Both terms the "Atlantean Empire" and "Eastern Iberian Empire" are historiographical terms created by modern Diadochian historians after the end of the said realm; its citizens continued to refer to their empire as the Iberian Empire, while Diadochia only came into common use in the 15th century.
