The Mk 17 Condor Owl class was a type of heavy assault shuttle used by the military of the Star Empire of Manticore. Named for the animal of the same name from the planet Sphinx, it was slightly larger than a standard cargo shuttle, and had the same variable wing geometry as a Royal Manticoran Navy pinnace, but with heavier armor. A Condor Owl could land up to one 125 troops in full battle armor or up to 200 in regular battle dress or armored skinsuits on almost any surface. A specialized export version for the allied Kingdom of Torch, the Mk 17T, was created around 1920 PD. (CS3)
