Xi Char was a fanatic polytheistic religious order of the Xi Charrians that devoted itself to high-precision manufacturing. To that end, they founded the Haor Chall Engineering company. They were led by a Prelate. They thought that all life was a shadow of the paradise of the afterlife, believing that creating machines was a way to glimpse the afterlife. In 19 BBY, the Xi Char assisted two Jedi Knights, Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, in tracking down the Sith Lord Darth Sidious by pointing them to one of their number who had helped construct Nute Gunray's mechno-chair.
