The 1,230-game regular season (82 games for each of the 30 teams) began on Tuesday, October 28, 2007, and ended on Wednesday, April 16, 2008. The 2008 NBA Playoffs started on Saturday, April 17, 2008 and ran until Sunday, June 12 when the Boston Celtics sweeped the Los Angeles Lakers 97-91 to win the 2008 NBA Finals, four games to zero.
