Offshoot, a female, was spurned from Velocitron's most prestigious races for years due to her gender. She at first had enormous respect for Override when the star female race champion overthrew the status quo and took charge of the planet, but that adoration turned to hatred when the still-young and hard-headed Override raided the seedy racing underworld Offshoot called home and tossed her out on the streets. Subsequently, Offshoot joined Dirt Boss and his fellow Decepticons.
