Alvanian Bees are a species of presumably non-sapient creatures which live in large groups and build notoriously active beehives. They were mentioned in the Deep Space Nine episode "Rapture", in which the Ferengi bartender Quark excitedly states that, once Bajor join the Federation, his bar will become busier than an Alvanian beehive. Unfortunately, the Bajorans' decision to join was delayed that year. It is safe to assume that Alvanian Bees are probably native to the same world of Alvanian Spine Mites, Alvanian Cave Sloths and Alvanian Brandy, all of which have been mentioned in other episodes of the series.
