Not much is known about Mitchell's parents. He, however, mentions them very briefly to Josie Hunter while she is taken,hostage. Mitchell reveals he was an only child and that his parents had been dead for a very long time. Though not confirmed, it is quite possible that Mitchell's parents died either during the war, from disease/sickness, or of old age. Mitchell mentions that he misses them dearly, and this hints that he had a good relationship with them before they died.
