The Large-eyed Bamboo Snake, Pseudoxenodon macrops, is a species of snake. It is a fairly variable species with brownish and almost blackish shades with short cross stripes. Distribution: India (Darjeeling, Assam; Arunachal Pradesh (Deban - Changlang district) ), Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, West Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos [see also HR 30: 174] SW China (Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, Sichuan, Guizhou ?, Gansu). Race fukiensis: China (Fujian). Type locality: "near Darjiling" Darjeeling, E India.
