With a shudder, the corvette is yanked out of what was supposed to be a much longer hyperspace jump, and almost immediately reverberates with an explosion, after which main power is knocked out, leaving the Corvette in darkness for the second or two that it takes for emergency power to kick in, leaving the amber emergency lights as the only illumination.
