In 2376, the USS Voyager made contact with the Brunali homeworld and returned Icheb to his people. His father reintroduced him to his old friends, which included Mala. Icheb did not remember her. He was later invited to play the game pala with her and his other former friends. When Voyager's crew rescued Icheb from his parent's plan to destroy the Borg, sacrificing him in the process, he never saw Mala again. (VOY: "Child's Play") Mala was played by an unknown actress.
