The optical data network relay (often shortened to ODN relay) was an important computer component installed aboard Federation starships in the 24th century. While the USS Titan was being prepared for launch in 2379, a team of technicians from the Starfleet Corps of Engineers noticed that a faulty ODN relay had been installed in the replicator network, and began work to replace it.
