The Lordaeron palace gardens was the location of the dreadlords, who were left in charge of Lordaeron, were found by the death knight Arthas upon his return from Kalimdor. Once the demons had been forced to retreat, Arthas turned his attention to the last living survivors of Lordaeron. He fought against three detachments of The Silver Hand led by Dagren the Orcslayer (Crippling Force), Magroth the Defender (Defenders of Justice), and Halahk the Lifebringer (Circle of Holy Light) with his own forces and those of Undead Sylvanas and Kel'Thuzad. The humans tried to send their forces out to escape but were blocked by the trio.
