Captain America (real name Steven "Steve" Rogers) is a superhero in Marvel Comics who made his debut in Marvel's 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger. He is the main protagonist of the Captain America trilogy and a major protagonist of the 2012 film The Avengers and the 2015 film Avengers: Age of Ultron. He appears alongside Iron Man, Thor Odinson, the Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow in the 2012 crossover blockbuster film The Avengers, and its sequel: Age of Ultron. He is portrayed by Chris Evans in his Marvel film appearances. Captain America was created by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon.
