Sergius XVII, known as the Patriarch and Pope, is the leader of the Immigrant Fleet and, ultimately, the corrupt pope of the Ormus religion, both introduced in Episode II. Even though Ormus and the Patriarch both worked secretly since a long time, Xenosaga I & II introduces the Patriarch in Episode I's plot part.
