The Emperor's Shield was a squadron of TIE Fighters trained by Grand Admiral Thrawn. They were given missions in the Outer Rim during the height of the Galactic Civil War, and were later assigned to protect Emperor Palpatine during his inspection of the second Death Star. Upon the Emperor's arrival, the Emperor's Shield squadron participated in the flight parade alongside Scythe Squadron and Emperor's Sword.
