The Battle of Shola was a massive Starfighter battle between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic over the planet of Shola. The fighters were provided by a minor battle led by Grand Moff Tarkin against a forming fleet of Corellian Corvettes and other various ships scheduled to attack Anaxes. The admiral of the fleet decided to cleverly launch all of its fighters and bombers to wipe out the entire Imperial Fleet by picking the ships off one by one. There was approximately 174 X-Wings, 100 Y-Wings and 48 B-Wings launched by the Rebellion. Tarkin, with his fleet and extensive knowledge, launched all the starfighters he had, to square them off, plus covettes to do the heavy work, and Star Destroyers to kill enemy Corvettes that threatened to wipe out his fighters.
