While often assumed to be the leader of Spyrius by fans, there is evidence to suggest that at least in the UK, LEGO intended the Spyrius Droid to be the leader of the faction. At the very least, the Spyrius Droid was featured much more prominently and usually shown in commanding roles. LEGO catalogs in the UK referred to set 6939 Saucer Centurion as "Spyrian Sovek with Major Kartofski". Additionally, the Summer 1994 issue of Bricks n Pieces magazine included a short story that again referred to "Major Kartofski and his Spyrian cohorts".
