Thessalonia is the kingdom that Deianeira bragged to Melus that she was the princess of. In reality, she was princess of Troy. Deianeira might have meant Thessaly (which exists in real life) or Thessala (which does not). She may have been trying to refer to Thessalonica (Thessaloniki), a city built by Alexander the Great. Or she could simply have been making it up.
