Asahina Sohei were Asahina Shugenja taught in the ways of battle in the secretive Asahina Battle School. The vast majority of the Crane Clan had no idea this sect existed. Asahina Sohei were the Asahina who wanted to fight for their clan, using the power of Air against their enemies. They were trained in melee combat with the wakizashi, and learned how to use Air spells for greater effects. Asahina Sekawa was its leader during the reign of Toturi III.
