0-1B was a battle droid that worked incognito as a medical droid aboard the barge Dune Princess. It was assigned by slicer "Never Die" to obtain the Shard of Alderaan, a sought-after slicing program, before crime lord Begas Tok auctioned it off thus risking its falling into the wrong hands.
